Abstract
Computerized dentistry recently introduced in modern dentistry has been growing tremendously, accordingly, giving dentists and dental laboratory technicians a great impact.

The purpose of this study is to investigate emerging phenomena related to dental CAD/CAM systems and to discuss sensible solutions to a rapid change in dental laboratory industry.
1. As time passes, the use of metal-ceramic restorations will decrease, while ceramic restorations prepared by CAD/CAM will be widely used in modern dentistry.
2. The quality of restorations prepared by CAD/CAM will be remarkably improved in the near future, owing to the advancement in dental CAD/CAM systems.
3. CAD/printing and CAD/laser sintering systems will be also introduced as a substitute for traditional CAD/CAM systems in the near future.
4. A variety of new materials with advanced functions will be developed for dental CAD/CAM.
5. CAD/CAM milling centers will be popular in the near future
6. The quality of restorations prepared by CAD/CAM will be assessed in terms of strength, hardness, microstructure, marginal fit, and aesthetics.
7. Customer satisfaction index (CSI) will be carried out to improve the quality of restorations and service.
8. Each individual should try to take dental CAD/CAM systems at the appropriate season.
